Description

The Carry the Kettle Cegakin Prevention Services is seeking a Post Majority Support Services Coordinator who will work collaboratively with integrated family services to ensure a successful transition to independence. The primary objective is to provide education and awareness to communities about supports available through the program. Assist and support any initial contact with young people who have aged out of the child welfare system so that they continue to be supported as young adults. This position participates as a team overseeing program development implementation and evaluation of the Post Majority Support Services program.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must possess a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW or BISW) and a minimum of 2 years experience.
Certificate with experience maybe be eligible
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES, PERSONAL SUITABILITY
Knowledge and understanding of the FSIN Child Welfare and Family Support Act. The Child and Family Services Act.
Providing leadership and accountability for CTK Prevention while developing and implementing program services.
Knowledge of the Nakoda culture and language will be an asset.
Ability to be genuinely committed to helping children learn with demonstrated empathy and patience.
Engaging effectively with partners in health, education, justice, community safety and social and community sectors to ensure a collaborative approach.
Ability to work in chaotic situations and still maintain a sense of humor.
Ability to use appropriate educational technology and assistive/adaptive devices provide extra support to the children
Ability to recognize individual learning styles and the characteristics of learners
Ability to comply with CTK Prevention, CTK policies, federal and provincial legislation.
Organizational, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and/or weekends and be on call
