We are looking for a new member to join our Technology and Operations Reporting team. You will be part of a team that is empowered, and encouraged, to take control and showcase your skills and abilities. The limits of this role are endless as we are always open to new ideas and staff that can bring them to reality.

Job Description:

As part of a small team you will be tasked with the creation, operationalization, and improvement of reporting requests (which includes backlogging items and prioritizing them.) These reports will be focused on ITSM data, Productivity Dashboards (that may include additional data like Cloud, Infrastructure, Servers, etc…), Project, Key Performance Indicators, and more.

The lucky candidate will actively participate in developing and maintaining a high performing, self-organizing team. As you grow with the team and learn more of our systems you will be encouraged to find more ways to integrate and enhance our reports. You will be joining a continuous improvement team who strives to enhance our service offerings while improving ourselves through training and education. You will be empowered to introduce better ways to help the team perform at its highest level.

What will you do:

• Build reporting dashboards, primarily in PowerBI, using the most appropriate data extraction, data cleaning, and visualization.
• Apply visualization techniques to present data-driven insights to business stakeholders in a compelling and easily understandable manner and deliver user stories that accurately represent business requirement
• Research and apply continuous improvement in data visualization by identifying trends and patterns to transform raw data into actionable business insights.
• Translate business needs to technical specifications and evaluate existing data visualization systems to improve them.
• Document data flow, systems, and processes to improve the design, implementation, and management of business/group processes.
• Understand ITSM data (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB) within Service Now with the ability to provide deeper insights and improve
• Recommend approaches to streamline and integrate technological processes in the organization to improve overall efficiency.
• Facilitate meetings and discussions; work with different teams, management and stakeholders while following a structured approach to plan, elicit, analyze, document, communicate and manage requirements.
• Apply innovative problem-solving approaches to various complexities and issues.
• Work independently and regularly handle non-routine requests.

What do you need to be successful?

• Professional experience in all phases of Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI) with 3-5 years PowerBI hands on development
• Strong proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Data Analysis, Cloud Reporting, ServiceNow (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB)
• Knowledge of Dynatrace, SRE and/or Agile Practices would be an asset.
• Insights/Narrative - being able to translate and summarize the data into meaningful trends and anomalies
• Banking experience, particularly large enterprise-wide initiatives an asset
• Possess analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Salaried

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
