As a Workplace and Power Platform Architect, AI Solutions, you will be working with a team of Power Platform developers and driving the architecture, design, and implementation of Power Platform solutions for our clients. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful integration of Power Platform services with external systems while adhering to best practices and delivering high-quality solutions.

What you'll do:
- You will apply your creative and consultative skills while guiding our clients on different ways to employ Microsoft Power Platform to solve their current business needs.
- You will provide constant recommendations and oversight to project teams on proper building, designing, and deploying Workplace solutions.
- Collaborate with members of the development and architecture teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions that surpass client expectations while meeting deadlines and budgetary constraints.
- Train junior members of the staff on proper Power Platform development techniques including support for application lifecycle management.
- Work directly with project managers to support client status reporting and other artifacts.
- Learn new technologies, and work on improvements to current technologies, to assist in analyzing their impact on current and future implementations.
- You will bring a spirit of continuous learning to adapt yourself in the growing and evolving space of Workplace and AI standards, tools, methodologies, and technologies to stay relevant for Softchoice and our customers.
- You will team up with groups across Softchoice including Subject Matter Experts, Practice Leads, and Vendors to continually refine our strategy and technical capabilities in delivering outcomes that receive the highest of customer satisfaction results.
What you'll bring to the table:
- 7+ years working with Power Platform services including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power Virtual Agents/CoPilot Studio, AI Builder.
- 10+ years as a Developer or working with Microsoft solutions.
- Development and deployment of multiple Power Platform projects to external organizations including Canvas Applications, Model Driven Applications and Power Automate solutions.
- Experience delivering projects that used Dataverse.
- Understanding the various data connectors and their licensing model(s).
- Understanding of Power Platform governance and security concepts and how to implement them.
- Experience with Azure services such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus and understanding the role in potential automation solutions including the utilization of Hybrid technologies to interact with on-premises data sources.
- Experience developing Azure Functions/APIs to create custom Power Automate actions.
- Experience with Web APIs and integrations. You will have experience with one or more of the following languages: PowerShell, JavaScript, C#, HTML/CSS, SQL.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex Power Platform solutions, including integration with external services and systems such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Workday.
- Have a positive and proactive attitude, being open and eager to learn new technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience working in professional services and/or software engineering for clients in a provider to client relationship. Bonus if experience is with a consulting firm.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team of developers.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interest in Microsoft CoPilot and development of AI/ML powered data solutions that are integrated with M365.
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to AI concepts including creation and utilization of custom models.
- Experience using ML services exposed through AI Builder and the ability to create customized instances when required.
- Experience deploying and maintaining the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE).
- Experience developing web pages using CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, Liquid, and the Bootstrap V5 framework.
- Experience developing PCF controls and their installation/configuration.
- Dynamics 365 customizations.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and its integration into the Power Platform.
- Experience in Agile methodologies and familiarity with DevOps practices is a plus.
- The following certifications are a plus:
- PL-900 – Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals
- PL-100 – Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate
- PL-200 – Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate
- PL-400 – Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
- AI-900 – Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals
