Pre-Trip Dispatcher

Wallace & Carey is looking for a dynamic, motivated Pre-Trip Dispatcher to oversee driver activity and ensure timely dispatching of trucks. This role demands clear communication, procativve problem-solving, and a positive attitude to maintain compliance and streamline transportation operations efficiently. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring seamless coordination between drivers, loading processes, and administrative tasks.

Duties

• Coordinate and schedule transportation activities for the organization
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on shipment & delivery status
• Analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize routing and maximize efficiency
• Collaborate with teammembers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise
• Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities to maintain proper transportation compliance

Skills

• Proficient in using transportation management systems (TMS)
• Strong analytical skills to analyze transportation data and identify trends or areas for improvement
• Excellent typing skills for data entry and documentation purposes
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes and procedures
• Ability to effectively communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders
• Knowledge of phone systems and proper phone etiquette

Shift Available:

• Monday to Friday 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
