College of Teachers and possessing an appropriate master’s degree, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills, knowledge, and qualities: Broad knowledge of issues and trends in BC public education; Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, truth and reconciliation. Strong, value-based practice supporting individual student success; Excellent initiative, organizational, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills; A refined ability to work with all partner groups on a collaborative and motivating basis; Commitment to fostering excellence in instructional, co-curricular, and extra- curricular programs in the school; The ability to promote good labour relations and sound personnel management in a dynamic educational and union environment; A high level of energy and an ability to sustain a heavy and varied workload; Commitment to becoming an integral participant in school and district initiatives; Demonstrated, exemplary teaching experience; Additional consideration will be given to candidates with Indigenous ancestry. Salary Range: Principals: $144,481 - $160,839 Vice Principals: $126,738 - $141,086 The School District: School District No. 67 (Okanagan Skaha), representing the communities of Penticton, Summerland, Kaleden, and Naramata, serves the educational needs of approximately 5,700 students through elementary (K-5), middle (Gr. 6-8) and secondary (Gr. 9-12) schools.
