Principal Architect - Automation

Governance plays a pivotal role in not only mitigating the risk at the bank by defining and governing frameworks, but also reviewing and improving the methodologies that are being mandated. The incumbent is responsible for using their curiosity, analytical and process improvement skills to help redefine, streamline, and automate the various processes that architecture teams adhere to. These improvements contribute towards our bank's trusted governance target operating model. This role includes analysis to recommend technical and business solutions and a hands-on component to directly deliver results.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Evaluate current governance processes such as intake, risk assessments and go/no-go decisions

  • Contribute recommendations to optimize data points and automate decisions

  • Work with teams to iteratively implement an overall approach

  • Author architectural patterns to help assessment teams improve and develop their processes

  • Socialize with larger audiences using reporting, real-time dashboards, and hosting education sessions

  • Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts

  • Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution

  • Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area

  • Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment

  • Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

  • 5-7 years of experience required

  • Keen sense of curiosity and initiative to create a better user experience for all teams

  • Knowledge of governance principles and compliance standards is a plus

  • Development experience in needed language or technology (e.g., Policy and required BPM Tools)

  • Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of large-scale projects from end-to-end

  • Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC
