Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service while managing printing orders with precision? If so, we’re looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as our new Print Project Representative (Customer Service Representative).
As a vital part of our Printing Services team, you’ll report directly to the Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include engaging with customers, overseeing order processing, and coordinating printing jobs to meet and exceed expectations.
What You’ll Do:
  • Collaborate directly with customers to plan and schedule printing needs, offering expert recommendations for optimal results.
  • Assist customers in accurately completing job tickets to ensure precise production details.
  • Serve as the liaison between customers and our printing team, ensuring their expectations are not just met but exceeded.
  • Establish and manage production schedules, ensuring timely delivery that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
  • Develop insightful reports, analyze trends, and propose improvements to streamline processes and reduce job turnaround time.
  • Source external quotes from vendors for outsourced components of jobs as needed.
  • Monitor production for quality, adhering to procedures, conducting maintenance, and minimizing waste.
  • Uphold University and Printing Department policies, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Handle transactions efficiently using Point of Sale systems and provide excellent front counter customer service.
  • Offer backup support to various areas as necessary, contributing to a cohesive team environment.

Position Requirements
What You’ll Bring to this Position:
  • Grade 12 supplemented with a Diploma or certificate in a print/graphic arts production program or an equivalent combination of courses; and
  • 3 years of relevant experience.


Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in the Role:
  • Thorough understanding of printing processes and terminology and the ability to plan a job and visualize all the steps and materials essential to its successful completion;
  • Ability to operate a computerized printing management system to create estimates and orders, allocate materials, track production and complete post-job audits;
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills in the English language to give and receive instructions and to maintain records;
  • Effective decision-making skills to work effectively with others, to solve problems, to plan and organize work;
  • Attention to detail is essential; and,
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills to effectively work with customers, staff and vendors and to assure high volume quality production while maintaining high employee morale.
Physical Demands
Using a moderate amount of physical exertion in working on and around equipment and in bending, lifting and carrying paper and other materials.
Pay Grade CUPE Phase 4 Salary Range $43,388.80 - $58,604.00 Annually Status Permanent Work Hours
8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday
