Printer / printer helper

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Printer to join our team. As a Printer, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Operate printing presses and other equipment to produce printed materials according to specifications
- Set up and adjust printing machines for each job, ensuring proper ink levels, paper alignment, and print quality
- Monitor print runs to detect any issues or defects, making adjustments as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on printing equipment, such as cleaning and lubricating parts
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of print jobs
- Inspect finished products for quality control, ensuring they meet customer requirements
- Package printed materials for shipment or delivery
- Maintain inventory of printing supplies and order replenishments as needed

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating printing presses or similar machinery is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in reading and interpreting job orders and specifications
- Basic computer skills for inputting job data and adjusting machine settings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Knowledge of machining or fabrication processes is beneficial

Salary: $16.75-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
