What is the opportunity?
RBC PH&N Investment Counsel ("RBC PH&N IC") is one of Canada's leading boutique investment counselling firms with investment professionals nationwide acting exclusively for high-net-worth clients and small business owners. We provide clients with discretionary investment management and privileged access to the expertise of our RBC Wealth Management Services team which includes highly accredited lawyers, accountants, and financial planning specialists.
Our Calgary branch is currently looking for a Private Client Associate to join their team. As a key member of a high performing team, you will be responsible for assisting the Investment Counsellor and other members of the team in providing daily meticulous administration and superior service to PH&N Investment Counsel high net worth Clients and respective Partners.
This is a mat leave (contract) role with the possibility of moving into a permanent role.
What will you do?
- Identify, investigate, and resolve all client inquiries, administrative errors, etc. in a timely and efficient manner
- Be a key support to the administrative activities and responsibilities of the team in their day-to-day activities
- Ensure trades are processed accurately, on a timely basis, and without error
- Manage all aspects of account opening and documentation
- Maintain client cash flows, regulatory filings, fee collection, and balances
- Accurately maintain records and files and attend client meetings as required.
- Proactively assist with client management of appointments and scheduled meetings / calls
- Stay current with all RBC Policies & Procedures
- Assist other team members and continue to strengthen cross-business working relationships.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Be able to work under high pressure and handle multiple changing priorities
- 1 - 3 years of admin/support experience preferably in Wealth Management
- Canadian Banking product knowledge
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Nice-to-have
- University Degree
- Experience in a similar role in the Investment Industry
- CSC, CIM, and/or CFP Designations
