Who we are

We invite you to join the Strategic Initiatives and Policy team! The team provides expert support and advice in the areas of strategy development, performance accountability, Process Improvement, policy development, right to information requests, appointments to agencies, boards and commissions, and legislature coordination.

What you will do

Reporting to the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives and Policy, the Process Improvement Facilitator is responsible for identifying, enhancing and sustaining improved business processes, organizational performance and services. They will help drive a culture of continuous improvement by leading and facilitating Process Improvement projects using the Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) methodology. You will lead and support process owners and executive champions through prioritized projects, including across organizations and departmental projects. You will also be able to build new skills in various competencies, such as project management and change management.

Where necessary, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training and certification may be provided to the successful candidate.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Leading Process Improvement projects
• Training and/or coaching others in Process Improvement tools and methodologies
• Tracking, presenting and/or reporting on project progress and efficiencies gained
• Assisting in the identification of Process Improvement projects
• Other related duties as required

Work Environment

• Office environment: open office
• Hours of work: 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday
• Some travel within the province may be required

Need to have

• A university degree and a minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible work experience
• Ability to use office technology, software and applications
• Presentation and group facilitation skills
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
• Written and spoken competence in English and French is required

Nice to have

• Existing Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies, problem-solving and change management
• Quality/Process Improvement experience
• Data analysis experience

Wage

$2,762.00 to $3,675.00 bi-weekly
