Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that a smooth and continual production process is always maintained.
• Operate and monitor multi-function process control machinery and equipment to control the processing of coal.
• Work in a team to process extracted coal and load finished products into railcars to ship to customers.
• Following up appropriately on process deviations and equipment failures.
• Maintaining log sheets and provide effective handovers to day shift.
• Monitor processes and equipment that upgrade coal to produce a marketable product.
• Regularly checking that processing parameter set points are being achieved.
• Operate heavy equipment (ex. Bins, conveyors, chutes, pumps, valves, crushers, flotation cells, cyclones, thickeners, screeners, weigh scales, railcar movers and front-end loaders)
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 2 years of general Process Operator experience.
• Valid Driver’s License & Drivers Abstract.
• Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol testing.
• Previous experience in mining is advantageous.
• Strong focus on safety and ability to follow safe work procedures is required; willing to complete Equipment Operator Safety Training.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervision and team members.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Ability to perform physical work including lifting to 50lbs, bending, standing, and stooping; able to work in variable environments including dusty, hot and cold temperatures.
• Planning and organizing skills, aptitude to learn and use new equipment and tools as needed.

Work Conditions

• Work is performed primarily during the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
• Shift duration is 21 shifts on, followed by 7 shifts off.
• Works in variety of environments including outside and extreme weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40.00 per hour
