Opportunity

This is an opportunity is based in Edmonton, Alberta and is curated for motivated individuals that are passionate, motivated, and believe in a team environment. The role of Packaging and Labelling Technician will be a part of the processing team and collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager and Processing Manager on a daily basis ensuring a compliant, safe operation in all aspects of consumer good packaging.

Job Summary

Palm Gardens Ltd is excited to be growing as an Edmonton based Licensed Producer. We are currently seeking to fill multiple roles of Packaging and Labelling technicians as we escalate production into the retail market. The position will be reserved for an individuals who breathe passion, prides themselves on being detail oriented and whom provide an educated approach to their actions.

The position is a full-time basis assuming daily duties of packaging unit of various cannabis bud sizes, pre-roll joint units, edibles as well as labelling and master casing. Duties will also consist of various facility maintenance, from garden assistance or facility maintenance.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the Processing Manager and team members in a efficient, compliant manner
• Maintain, develop, and operate compliantly under facility SOP’s
• Assist in developing efficient practices for optimal facility workflows and
• Maintain company standards for cost control and waste reduction
• Manage daily procedural progress logs
• Manage daily procedural sanitation or maintenance logs
• Have the ability and experience to dry, cure, trim and assist in all post-harvest requirements
• Ability to solve problems and recommend opportunities to improve productivity and efficiencies
• Other duties deemed essential by management and operating procedures including but not limited to: facility housekeeping, sanitizing of equipment and surfaces, as well as general maintenance and housekeeping.
• Ensure cleanliness at all times
• Strong work ethic alongside the promotion of a safe and happy workplace

Qualifications:

Required

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Must be precise and detail focused

- Must be mathematically skilled

- Read and write English

- Ability to pass security clearance background check

- Basic computer competencies

- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, standing, bending for extended periods of time

Preferred Assets

- Competencies in Canada’s Cannabis Industry Policies (Cannabis Act)

- Experience in food and beverage considered an asset

- Experience in manufacturing considered an asset

- Experience on assembly line production is an asset

Skills/ Assets/ Abilities

• Basic skills with hand tools
• Computer literacies such as Microsoft Office
• Bi-lingual
