Pratts Wholesale & Food Service Regina is seeking a Produce Manager to join our team in Regina. Reporting directly to the VP, this individual would be responsible for ensuring continued growth and profitability of the Produce Category. Ensuring necessary products are available in a timely manner, optimizing fill rates and reducing costs through supply chain and inventory management.
Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our vendors and Pratts Team
Prepare and deliver purchase orders to a variety of vendors
Forecasting product demand to meet customer needs
Work with sales team to ensure continuous growth and profitability of the produce category
Manage inventory levels, with a focus on high turns, fill rates and shrink reduction
Work with Western Canada Produce Team to ensure consistency of vendors and pricing both beneficial to Regina and other Pratts divisions
Set market costs and pricing to customers weekly
Drive continuous improvement and elimination of errors and credits in the produce category with inventory, quality assurance and transportation
The Ideal Candidate:
Purchasing experience in a food service distribution warehouse would be ideal
Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong computer skills. Knowledge of the Retalix AS400 system would be an asset
Remuneration:
Salary is dependant on experience level of candidate. Benefit program available after 6 months.
