Product Design Intern on the Growth Design Team

We're looking for Product Design Interns who are curious about data and passionate about building customer-centered products that delight. This is an opportunity to apply your design craft and thinking into practice. During your internship, you will work closely with our Growth Design Team on projects that support SurveyMonkeys's product growth team, on projects that will give individuals a voice and generate actionable insights from data.

What you'll be working on

  • You will be assigned specific projects within one of our teams and have a dedicated mentor and manager to support you throughout the program
  • You will be invited to social and developmental events that will provide accessibility to leadership, social responsibility, and team-building opportunities
  • Design feature improvements and fixes
  • Apply user research and data-driven insights to create effective designs for growth experiments.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers
  • Provide support to Product Design team members
  • Attend Product Design team meetings and be an active participant
  • Take part in design feedback sessions and iterate based on feedback
  • Participate in user research sessions

We'd love to hear from people with

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Product Design, Graphic Design or another related field
  • Knowledge of UX research methods including usability testing, customer interviews and survey research
  • A desire to learn how to leverage analytics and user behavior data to inform design decisions and gain insights into the impact of design changes on key performance indicators.
  • Strong skills in designing both user experiences and interfaces
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Exceptional communications skills
  • Experience with Figma, able to use with confidence
  • Strong understanding of how code works
