Job Description:

What will you work on?
 

As a Product Development Engineering Intern in the Long Island City office, you will work closely with our engineering team to develop innovative products from conception to production. Reporting to the Senior Product Development Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience in various stages of Product Development, including new concepts, design, prototyping, testing, and optimization.

 

Throughout the internship, you will work closely with the other Engineering Interns in our Toronto and LA offices on a group project, with eventual read out to key stakeholders in the business before the internship concludes. 
How will you create impact?

  • Assist in the design and development of new products, including CAD modeling, prototyping, and testing.
  • Perform hands-on tasks in the lab, including 3D printing, building prototypes, conducting experiments, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Brand Marketing to ensure products are developed on spec, on cost, and on time.
  • Lead product sample reviews with the cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are met and communicate feedback to our manufacturing partners.
  • Partner closely with other PD Engineering Interns in our global offices on a group project.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and design reviews to contribute ideas and provide feedback on product concepts.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and special projects by identifying areas for optimization in product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Perform tasks independently while working closely with individual team members to ensure that project tasks are completed efficiently.


What are your skills and experience?

  • Available for hybrid work model, 3 days per week in office
  • Must be able to work full-time as an intern
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office Suite would be a plus
     

The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in New Yor is $20 USD her hour. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
