Established in 1954, Bee Maid Honey Limited is the marketing arm of the Alberta Honey Producers Co-operative Limited and the Manitoba Cooperative Honey Producers. Honey produced by beekeepers in Western Canada is processed and packaged at plants in Winnipeg, MB and Spruce Grove, AB. Bee Maid not only produces premium honey but also operates retail outlets in Spruce Grove, Winnipeg, and Tisdale, SK.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Manitoba Cooperative Honey Producers is looking to hire SIX full-time Production Associates to join our team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Associates work on the packing line including bottle unscrambler/orientainer, filler, labeler, capper/lidder, drop packer and case packing/palletizing, obtaining materials for the line (cartons, lids, labels, etc.), or bulk fill (as required). Regular hours of work will be Monday to Friday 3:30pm to 12:00am.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Line:
- Performs packing line duties, including bulk (as required)
- Uses Forklift as required (finished pallets, cartons, lids, etc.)
- Monitors quality of packaging and finished products (i.e. bottles, lids, labels, and honey colour)
- Performs changeover/setups in conjunction with the rest of the team.
- Maintains required production records (i.e., production code dates, check weights, cases packed, etc.)
- Daily cleaning as required.
Miscellaneous Duties:
- Performs various duties to satisfy GMP, HACCP and SQF requirements.
- Engages in other duties when line is not running such as: prepping for orders, honey dumping, product labelling, and making display cases, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Food Safety:
- If a specific food safety task is assigned, the backup will be listed in the HACCP-DEL Matrix
QUALIFICATIONS:
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 years’ experience in a production environment
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Forklift certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of HACCP (preferred)
- Able to solve problems independently and as per standard procedures.
- Adapt to new and changing variables of requirements based on verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work flexible work hours to accommodate special production needs.
- To be successful you will have a true sense of ownership and pride in your work.
- Ability to walk/stand for 6-8 hours per day.
- Able to perform moderate to heavy repetitive lifting.
