Production Baker

Position Summary

Do you have a passion for baking? Are you a night owl or enjoy early mornings?

As a Production Baker, you will be responsible for ensuring all the daily baked goods & other items from our carefully crafted recipes are prepared for early morning deliveries to our customers.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Your tasks may include the following performed to the highest standard:

· Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment.

· Baking our daily muffins, scones & other baked goods.

· Costing recipes when needed.

· Checking daily orders, managing time to ensure items are ready and bins are prepared accordingly for deliveries.

· Assisting with deliveries as needed.

· Preparing wholesale orders.

- Assisting with preparation of corporate & special event desserts

· May assist in the implementation of new recipes and seasonal menu offerings

· Assisting with decorating pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation.

· Monitoring the stock of baking ingredients.

· Works and communicates in a professional manner, assisting as necessary to develop team spirit and to achieve standards of work.

· Ensuring the bakery adheres to health and safety regulations, cleaning and sanitizing daily.

Skills and Qualifications

· High school diploma.

· Food safe certified.

· Minimum 2 years' experience working within the food industry as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or relevant role.

· Working knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process.

· Creative ability with artistic skill in decorating cakes and other desserts.

· Positive attitude & great organizational skills

· Capable of working on your own & in a fast-paced, production environment.

· Driver’s license required.

Salary determined based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $18.75 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
