LEAN ACTIVITIES: All Toyota Division Bar Programs
• Train Weld Cell operators to perform their jobs
• Coordinate part style changeovers on multipurpose cells
• Perform tip/electrode changes as required
• Conduct all SPC checks requirements for all programs
• Conduct all Weld Destructive testing
• Maintain all efficiency tracking board’s requirements for all programs
• Replenish all subcomponents for all programs on a regular basis
• Replace Rollstock WIP Bins into the Automated Cell as required
• Maintain and enforce General 5S including emptying scrap as needed
• Act as a fill in Operator, as needed, for short breaks during the shift
• Replenish Rolling Mill with empty WIP bins as required
• Remove full WIP Bins from Rolling Mill as required and store in designated locations as required
• Liaison between Tool Room and all Weld Centres
• Create the lean vision and implement a lean strategy to reduce cycle time, inventory and waste
• Drive measurable improvements in manufacturing process flow
• Co-ordinate workers’ activities in accordance with Daily Production Schedule received from the area TL/Supervisor
• React to inspection sort data
