Hours of Work: This job includes shift work that can include day, night, weekend shifts. Overtime as required

The successful candidate will work with the CP24 Production team in various roles in our broadcast day from pre-production to production.
- Consults with CP24 Production team to provide creative and logistical input for assignments, live locations
- Manage multiple records on incoming feeds
- Work with the control room personnel, producers, ENG Cameras and assignment on coordination of live remote hits
- Work with local stations and remote guest(s) on Facetime and Skype to obtain live information and event information
- Maintain quality control measures while following production protocols and best practices
- Plan and execute live remotes on large scale productions
- Work with Engineering and IT to troubleshoot field and control room equipment
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 2 years production and/or assignment experience in a news gathering environment
- Previous experience in Assignment, Director or Control Room roles
- Above average knowledge of local news and issues in the GTA and surrounding area
- Strong people skills
- Early adopter of new technology
- Good working knowledge of Toronto's geography and traffic
- Thorough knowledge of all types of broadcast equipment and computer systems.
- Experience with office computer programs (iNews, MediaPulse, Word, Excel, Chrome)
- Knowledge of the principles of picture composition and production procedures
- Ability to work under strict deadlines
- Adapt to changing priorities while dealing with a LIVE control room
- Ability to work with reporters and producers on story ideas
- Valid G License
- Excellent concentration and co-ordination
