The role

We’re proud to be one of the largest ferry operators in the world and for 60 years, we have been dedicated to providing safe and efficient travel to our customers and we are looking for a key member of our engineering team to support our continued growth.
We are searching for a Production Schedule to join our Engineering Team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you are responsible for producing resource loaded production schedules, coordinates trade resources and production at our Fleet Maintenance Unit (FMU) facility. As well as analyzing upcoming vessel refit, capital projects specifications, and operational maintenance requests and develop resourced production schedules to meet project and operational timelines and requirements.

Responsibilities

As a Production Scheduler, you maintain up to date FMU trade and project production schedules, and provide up to date information, progress and performance updates to schedules and plans to Operations Managers, Asset Owners and Project Managers to ensure effective allocation of FMU resources and schedules. AS well as conduct critical path analysis to provide recommendations and realign schedule as required.

What you bring to the team

You have minimum of 3 years’ scheduling experience preferably in an industrial and or shipyard environment; OR recognized combination of equivalent experience and qualifications. You have BC or Red Seal Trade directly related to the function of the position is seen as a benefit; OR

Post Secondary education, preferably in Applied Sciences/Engineering or Naval Architecture; AND Demonstrated experience in scheduling and/or maintenance/project planning.

Project Management Professional and/or equivalent experience is an asset.

Additional information

This is a regular full-time position with a salary range of $81,080-$101,349 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to experience, education, and performance related to this role.
