Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for aProduction Specialist at our Lethbridge production location. In this role, you will utilize your leadership skills by leading, coordinating and working in all positions of Plant Operations.
You may assist Technicians in multiple production, warehouse, field and logistic areas on a single shift to ensure that production goals are accomplished. You will also encourage and enforce safety operations on site.
As a Specialist, you will be required to be flexible in your scheduled hours to best support an effective production operation. This may include variable start and end times, overtime, and weekend work, potentially on short notice. This position assumes the responsibility of leading a rotating shift. Depending on your skillset, you may work with our field team from approximately April through September.

What You'll Do:
- Lead and coordinates the safe activities of Production Technicians in production areas on a single shift personally, or through shift process leaders to ensure that the goals set are accomplished
- Regularly and effectively communicates important information to team members and stakeholders
- Ensures and assists with training needs
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the workplace
- Assist planning capital or focused improvement projects, as well as workforce planning, development and scheduling
- Complete and maintain records, audits, documents, samples, and reports
- Ensure direct materials are available for process orders
- Covers breaks and vacations for Production Technicians and acts as Supervisor in their absence
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
- You have your High School Diploma/GED
What Skills You Need:
- Minimum of high school diploma/GED - 2 year diploma preferred
- Knowledge of agricultural processes and/or agricultural background an asset
- Good project coordination skills
- Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office
- Good spelling, grammar, and business writing skills
- Must be organized, and possess good time management skills, and able to balance several things at once
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain internal and external relationships with customers
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities, and have excellent attention to detail
- Willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting
- Willing and able to work overtime hours including weekend work required during seasonal peaks and different shifts, as needed
- Willing and able to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet and dry conditions
- Certified LEAN Practitioner is an Asset
- Valid Class 5 License
