Production Supervisor

Job profile summary:

Supervise and lead the manufacturing area in order to meet production schedules, quality and time objectives through leadership and process control. Develop manpower requirements, identify potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action and direct the performance of program functional task elements such as quality assurance, safety and active time capture at the sub-component fabrication level.

Essential Functions:

• Lead and direct safety program in accordance with company requirements.
• Maintain production objectives to meet or exceed customer demand and shipping goals while balancing production costs.
• Maintain or improve quality programs to assure conforming product.
• Direct, assist and evaluate associates.
• Monitor all inventory required for production and report discrepancies or requirements as needed.
• Conduct associate performance evaluations to recommend changes and/or increases.
• Conduct associate disciplinary action as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Attendance at work during regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, to be present at work. Arrive ½ hour before shift to unlock the doors and open the facility.

Skills and Abilities:

• Education and/or Experience: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related experience is direct, hands-on in manufacturing operations with prior leadership skills in a team-based manufacturing environment.
• Other Requirements: Effectively communicate with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and productions drawings. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before employees of our organization. Develop strong communication, problem solving, and supervisory and human relation skills. Previous forklift experience preferred but not required.

Salary: From $85,000.00 per year
