Project Overview
Bechtel is among the most respected engineering, project management, and construction companies in the world. Bechtel operates through four global business units that specialize in infrastructure; mining and metals; nuclear, security and environmental; and oil, gas, and chemicals. Today, our colleague's team with customers, partners, and suppliers on diverse projects in nearly 40 countries.
Bechtel Infrastructure will work in a Delivery Partner role within an integrated team with the customer organization for a Subway Project in Toronto, Ontario. The project scope includes the design build, operations and maintenance of all infrastructure and rail systems associated with 15 stations and over 15km of new alignment, being performed by three key PPP Contractors and multiple advanced early works (EAW) packages Contractors. Bechtel form a key component of the overall Integrated Project Delivery team (comprising the customer, MX; the Technical Advisor, and Bechtel as the Delivery Partner).
Position Summary
The Integration Manager provides leadership and overall cross delivery area guidance to the interface management leads/ coordinators that are deployed to the delivery areas. He/ She is considered to be a member of the senior leadership team that forms the Systems, Engineering & Assurance central team that works across the entire OL program, bringing structure, standardization, efficiency and solution minded approaches to all delivery areas.
Responsibilities
-Support the Manager of Engineering in providing technical analytics and progress & performance reporting to executive and senior stakeholders.
-Implements and monitors interface management progress & performance reporting across the contractors design organisations with support from the deployed Interface Management team.  And provides analytically based insights to articulate Program Integration progress & performance.
-Co facilitates DIWG and attends the Integration Committee
-Maintain and publish, with support from the deployed interface management team, a set of integration metrics & reports that underpin Program Integration requirements and performance. Ensure these metrics are cascaded throughout and across all delivery areas and functional groups. 
-Advises senior leadership team of obvious discrepancies or trends that may be detrimental to the project. 
-Sponsors and supports the project schedule and automation development programs related to work execution. 
-Develops and implement common guidelines and procedures for effective interface management and owns the OL Program Interface Management Plan. 
-Establishes and implements a program wide reporting approach that collates the individual project interface information, such as ICD status, Interface registers, etc, and rolls them up to a program wide reporting dashboard.
-Act in a senior leadership capacity across all interface related issued between all Project Co’s (PPP, PDB & DBB), TAs, Metrolinx and other vendors and on all projects;
-Assesses the forums, as the project evolves, and makes strategic recommendations for the SEA Director, that should be implemented to ensure all contractors are engaged appropriately at the work task levels, working group levels (Design integration working group, DIWG, and Construction Integration Working Group, CIWG). Upon agreement with the SEA Director, implements the agreed approaches.
-With the assistance of the deployed team members, ensures that Early Works are coordinated/ integrated with Project Co submissions;
-In collaboration with the rest of project team, provide advice on contract management and interface issues;
-Ensure project schedules are developed and implemented considering interface requirements so that deliverables are provided in a timely manner across the program;
-Drive collaboration across delivery areas. Promote the improvement of data integrity across the program.
-Use technical, construction and commercial knowledge and experience to identify and work with the technical authority group to lead the resolution of complex program engineering issues.
-Identify and promote the use of innovative solutions to solve complex engineering problems.
-Build and maintain relationships, both internal and external at senior management and director levels.
-Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information from unauthorised disclosure, modification or destruction. Never knowingly put Metrolinx’s information or information systems at risk.
-Act as a role model for Ontario Lines Mission, Vision and Values, behaving in ways that are in alignment with OLs ways of working. Encourage and support others to do so too.
-Acts as functional manager to the deployed Interface Management Leads/ Coordinators.

Qualifications and Skills
Basic Qualifications
-A recognized Bachelor’s/master’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering, from an accredited college or university with a minimum overall experience of 18 years. Experience of developing or delivering major engineering and/or construction projects e.g. rail, airports, highways or another area of infrastructure. Proven experience in a senior integration role delivering complex railway systems.
 
Additional Qualifications
-Ability to promote & provide programme clarity and enhanced decision making through use of data analytics in an evolving programme environment.
-Good working knowledge of contracts and procurement.
-Ability to prepare clear strategic planning procedures and user-friendly templates to assist the multiple delivery units to execute with common approaches
-Broad knowledge of all phases of engineering, field activities, production techniques, building materials, and construction methods for development of various work areas.
-Understands technical issues and cost related to selection of design features and unique engineering design requirements.
-Ability to solve problems by thinking laterally and be able to understand the needs and requirements of the client and various entities – to provide planning / design / feasibility solutions in a multi -disciplinary / multi - sectional context. 
-Has experience with engineering work planning, scheduling and cost estimating.
-Must have excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player and have a knowledge sharing approach. 
-Ability to manage and build successful teams in an evolving programme environment.
-Excellent communicator, with the ability to persuade and influence external and internal parties.
-Must be self-driven and able to plan and execute work without direct supervision from senior management and/or peers. 
-Must be flexible and adapt to working in a demanding PMO environment.
