PROGRAM STAFF (Couchiching Childcare Program)

FULL-TIME PERMANENT

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Program Staff are responsible for planning and implementing all aspects of the Couchiching Childcare Program in accordance with the child and early years act. The Program Staff will report to the Childcare Manager and will be assigned to the Toddler Room.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post secondary education in early childhood education.

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) Designation in good standing.

• Working knowledge of the child and early years act

• Planning and time management skills to plan program activities and schedule routines.

• Communication and written skills needed to work with children and their families, other Program Staff and to prepare reports and documents as required.

• Knowledge of educational games, activities, and toys and ability to implement same to create a stimulating environment for children of the Centre.

• Effective oral and written communication skills.

• Must be able to function as a team member.

• Certified in standard first aid and CPR.

• Current up-to-date immunizations, including TB test.

• Must successfully pass a Criminal Record Check of the Vulnerable Sector type.
