Adecco is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Controls Lead for a full-time, long-term contract position in Kitimat, BC.   • Pay Rate: $180/hour

  • Location: Kitimat, BC    

  • Shifts: 3 weeks on / 1 week off | 8-10 hours/day

  • Job type: Full-time | Long-Term contract

Duties and Responsibilities:     

  • Manage the Owner’s site-based Cost and Schedule team, acting as the central link between the Project and the Contractor Organization.

  • Prepare comprehensive project status reports, highlighting key accomplishments, risks, cost reporting, earned value, change management, and changes on a monthly basis.

  • Oversee scheduling functions to ensure projects meet standards and target completion dates, managing the progression of the Schedule throughout the project life-cycle.

  • Analyze project costs, conduct forecast update meetings, record monthly and yearly accruals, and prepare forecasts.

  • Support project change management, including subcontractor claims, change requests, claims, and dispute resolution.

  • Identify opportunities for Project Controls improvement and act in the owner’s best interest by interacting with internal technical and functional groups.

Requirements & Qualifications: 

  • Graduate in Engineering or related technical/business discipline.

  • Relevant project management certifications will be an asset.

  • 15-20 years of related experience, with preference given to those with experience in Aluminum Smelter, Mining, Large Industrial Processing, and Oil and Gas.

  • Previous experience in setting up or overseeing Project Controls departmental activities on an industrial project with a budget exceeding $150M USD.

  • Proven expertise in planning, scheduling, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, estimating, and cost control.

  • Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management principles.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP (Mandatory), and Project Controls software (e.g., Primavera - P6).

  • Natural leader and team builder with strong relationship-building skills.

  • Detail-oriented, customer-focused, and excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
