Location: Toronto, ON - Training for the first 2 months on-site and then hybrid model with minimum 2 days per week in the office

Job Title: Cost Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Controls Manager to ensure precise, consistent, and punctual baselining, forecasting, and reporting.
- Compute Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Forecast at Completion (FAC) accurately.
- Execute effective change management processes for Project Cost and schedule alterations.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on assigned projects and portfolios.
- Assist in developing Project Estimates for various Stage Gates within project life cycles.
- Ensure rigorous examination of cost data inputs by project teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum seven (7) years' experience as a Cost Analyst in Major Projects within a relevant industry, including at least three years in projects with a value of $1 billion or more. (Note: $1 billion project value refers to the owner's overall capital value, not just contract value of the entity.)
- Coordinate with department managers to compile monthly accruals for Contracts and Purchase Orders (POs).
- Track monthly project transactions using SAP, IFS, and ECE Database Systems with inputs from other teams.
- Generate Monthly Master Cost File (MCF), Project Status Report (PSR), and Project Status Overview Reports (PSO).
- Update project cash flow and track material delivery and payments.
- Manage ATC credit card payments and track costs, including job number creation, expenditure discussions, transfers between accounts, and limit adjustments.
- Track e-Time costs, create task codes, prepare monthly internal hour comparison reports, and ensure proper allocation of account numbers.
- Review and approve Certificate of Payments for Contracts in CMS and update Active/Expiring Contracts reports.
- Provide support for ECRC, PRP Report, and CCO meeting Workplan preparation.
- Aid in monthly cash flow projection reports and periodic cost updates in Prism.
- Support Manager Project Controls in preparing Estimates at various Stage Gates and update EAC/FAC costs.
Education and Skills:
- A post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related technical or business discipline (e.g., engineering, construction management, project management).
- Progressive experience in Cost Control or project management or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- Proficiency in Problem Solving and Analysis to manage and interpret scheduling and cost information effectively.
Assets:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Familiarity with construction/project management, estimation, cost controls, planning, scheduling, project risk, and quality.
