Reporting to the Project Controlling Manager this position is located at Campus Montreal in St. Laurent, QC The candidate is a key member of the project team and works directly with the project manager to help define the project’s goals and objectives; create and maintain a project’s budget, analyze progress and recommend actions to improve progress. The successful candidate will be results and detail oriented as well as a team player who can see the big picture and work collaboratively with others. Remote work and flexible hours available

Your responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the project manager, complete the booking of projects and insure all booking comply with SOX and business guidelines.
  • Coordinating regular project reviews. Actively monitoring projects in execution, focusing on cost control and optimization, stock control, revenue recognition and cash flow.
  • Participating in Forecasting and Budgeting process. Preparing estimation of projects' financial performance with comparison to the budget and previous estimate.
  • Managing and overseeing the currency risk - preparing hedging contracts, monitoring payment collection and currencies impact on business on monthly basis.
  • Coordinating correctness of Month-End closing process, especially projects settlement, revenue recognition and sales orders.
  • Helping to identify opportunities and risks, monitoring mitigation actions to ensure timely implementation.
  • Providing financial support to the all stakeholders while having the opportunity to review and improve current procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Preparation and submission of customer invoices in line with customer contract and maintenance of billing plans.
  • Control the correct handling of the logistics process within the local division, i.e. organize the storage and distribution of goods to suppliers/sites in collaboration with supply chain.
  • Design and modification of standard reports and maintenance of reporting and document control tools including web-based applications or SharePoint.
  • Ad hoc projects as required.
  • Completion of in-house certification program within first year of employment

Your background

  • Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration or additional experience in a large multinational corporation.
  • 3-5 year experience in a large project oriented, multi-currency environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset and knowledge of Excel is a must.
  • Impeccable integrity.
  • Superior interpersonal skills - Able to communicate and engage personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Good time management and structured way of working
  • Bilingual but with excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated, goal oriented and success driven.
