What will your typical day look like?
As a Project Manager reporting directly to the Project Management stream lead, you will be responsible for managing Corporate Real Estate projects from initiation to close-out. Your duties will include:
- Project planning activities including working with the global procurement team to prepare procurement documents, evaluations, contract execution and purchase order issuance
- Building and tracking master project schedule using MS Project, integrating the work streams (Design, Construction, IT, Security, Operations), and identifying and managing dependencies and critical path tasks
- Leading project team meetings and tracking action items, risks & issues, and changes
- Establishing and tracking the project budget file and cashflow, maintaining cost tracking log and delivering the project within the approved budget
- Managing project scope and the change order process
- Provide regular reporting, including weekly status reports, monthly reports, stakeholder decks, etc. with accurate representations of project progress, health, risks, and ongoing challenges
- Maintaining project records including building the project repository, coordinating with the project team for document creation, and ensuring completeness of the project file
- Contract management, ensuring that the project consultants, vendors, and contractors are fulfilling their contractual obligations
- Elaborate project documents required
- Collaborate with the team on improvements to PM process, standards and templates
About the team
The Corporate Real Estate (CRE) team has three streams: Workplace Strategy & Design, Project Management and Lease Administration. Each stream is led by a stream leader that reports to the Director, Corporate Real Estate.
The Project Management stream includes 4 internal resources that work with other Deloitte cross functional teams to deliver the national capital program for Corporate Real Estate.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are someone who has:
- 5 - 7 years of experience in construction project management, and experience in fit-out projects
- A university degree or technology diploma in Architecture, Engineering, or Interior Design
- Project Management Professional (PMP), LEED AP, WELL AP certification is an asset
- High proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Project, Excel and Power Point
- Solid knowledge in Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) documents
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver successfully
- Proficient self-management skills to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in project management best practices
- Experience working in a professional corporate environment
- Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication and documentation skills
