To support the continued success of the business, we are currently looking to add to our team by hiring a motivated, driven, and passionate individual in the role of Project Manager or Project Coordinator. In this role, the successful candidate will assist with developing detailed project plans and operating budgets as well as implementing work process and procedures while promoting company values and nurturing a safe, innovative and enjoyable work environment. Monitoring and reviewing project plans on a regular basis, preparing variance analysis and reports, and developing and managing project schedules is critical for day-to-day success in this position. As well, monitoring for changes in project scope and ensuring senior management is kept informed on project progress through detailed reports is essential. Joining the Platecon team means participating in our health, safety and environment program and ensuring all quality assurance processes are followed and documented.
An Engineering graduate with a focus in mechanical or structural engineering combined with project management and/or coordination knowledge is required. Experience within an industrial environment, specifically tank design or construction will be considered an asset. This opportunity will align well with an individual who is driven by planning and organizing complex details and motivating teams to meet project goals and objectives. You are a natural communicator who enjoys building relationships with clients and colleagues. With strong technical knowledge, you understand construction processes, enjoy solving complex problems, can identify risks and develop mitigation strategies and you can make safe, cost-effective decisions to maximize profitability.
This is a permanent opportunity located at our Hamilton, ON, location. The selected candidate must reside in, or being able to commute to this office as this is not a rotational position.
