Project/Operations Manager

Dawe's Plumbing and Heating has been in business for over 50 years delivering residential and commercial plumbing and heating services to the Avalon and greater St. John’s metro area. We are accepting resumes for a Project/Operations Manager in our CBS (Manuals) office.

The duties and responsibilities of the role includes:

• Manages the successful delivery of all plumbing projects and services ensuring that all projects and services are delivered on time and on budget.
• Ensures that Company change management processes are followed on all projects.
• Manages Project costing and coordinates with the Administration and Accounting staff for project costing, supplier purchases and billing.
• Ensures all projects are delivered according to the Company quality procedures.
• Plans, assigns and schedules the activities to the plumbing team by working closely with clients and the plumbing team.
• Develops project estimates and prepares quotations for residential and commercial projects.
• Maintains positive customer relationships by establishing and enforcing organization standards and providing outstanding customer service.
• Maintains first point of contact with all clients for effective project delivery.
• Works with the staff to ensure that adequate inventory levels are maintained for successful project delivery.
• Ensures that the projects are delivered in compliance to the Company health and safety program (COR).

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Completed post-secondary education in Engineering Technology, Skilled Trades or Business.
• Experience delivering projects in the construction industry is considered an asset.
• Strong computer skills with knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills.
• Is a problem-solver with strong attention to detail while also being flexible to adapt to an always-changing environment.
• A high degree of multi-tasking and time management capability.
• Strong aptitude and willingness to seek out new and more efficient work practices.

This is a salaried position with the work hours at 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
