POSITION:Projects Shop Helper
REPORTS TO: Project Manager
As a Projects Shop Helper you will play a key role in contributing to the continued success of Silver Hills Bakery whose mission is to inspire individuals to live a healthy lifestyle. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic production work environment and will have the opportunity to learn new skills and work in a team setting. In this role, you are responsible for completing the duties listed below as well as other duties as assigned by your manager or their designate.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Locate equipment/tools and clean as required including moving the equipment/tools to end locations before and after repairs are made
- Maintain cleanliness of shop and work areas
- Pickup/drop-off parts/equipment/tools from vendors
- Assist the Projects team as directed in support of the business needs
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks and tractors, to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of equipment
- Operate machine tools, such as drills and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery and production lines
- Operate forklifts, boom & scissors lifts as needed
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
- Perform small constructions tasks as needed to support the Projects and Maintenace teams
- Other duties as assigned
