Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to patients in various settings such as nursing homes, hospice care, assisted living facilities, and private homes.
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs under the supervision of a nurse.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and organizing.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes in the patient's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for the patient.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in senior care or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions from healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature.
- Reliable transportation to travel to different patient locations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays if required.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
