Purchaser / Buyer

Select Electrical Enterprises Ltd is currently looking for a Purchaser / Buyer to work full time at our Stony Plain Location.

We are searching for a perceptive, self motivated individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks with great efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet business objectives
- Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and evaluate their capabilities and pricing
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and delivery terms
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor vendor performance to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services
- Monitor inventory levels and supply chain
- Create and monitor purchase orders via accounting software
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor information

- Coordination with shipping agencies and suppliers

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain principles
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing and terms
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to evaluate supplier capabilities and pricing
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $26.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
