Purchaser - Materials & Supplies for Manufacturing

Maverick Industries, a Morden based family owned manufacturer is looking to expand our purchasing team. We are looking to hire a full-time Purchaser with previous experience in procurement and inventory control.

Material Purchaser will:
- Source supplies based on price, availability and necessity.
- Work with Design Team to process RFQs in a timely manner.
- Coordinate procurement from quoting, purchasing to receiving of goods.
- Schedule procurement deliveries and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Ensure quality of procured items and address problems when they arise.
- Work with Material Handling Supervisor to inspect, receive, and report issues.
- Ensure inventory levels, reorder points and Kanban quantities are maintained.
- Meet with vendors to negotiate best contracts and build vendor relations.

Requirements:
- Previous work experience in procurement and inventory management.
- Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and able to work collaboratively.
- Negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
- Time Management and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Google, Microsoft or similar platform.

Office Hours: Mon - Fri 8:00am - 4:30pm
