The Purchasing & Procurement Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Manager by checking data and ensuring the efficiency of the purchasing process.
- Process the inquiries and quotations efficiently and promptly.
- Communicate with vendors for any new sources as customer's needs and requests.
- Understand RFQ (Request for Quotation), and the use of vendor/source databases.
- Check and follow up RFQs on a daily base, and follow-up phone calls to vendors and potential sources.
- Respond to emails, calls, and correspondences related to RFQs.
- Try to send RFQs to Europe soonest as possible.
- Inform the person in charge of the database of all new vendor sources and changes related to vendors.
- Check the draft invoices thoroughly and send them out promptly.
- Send out quotations, draft invoices, and inquiries.
- Other duties as required by the Manager.
Basic Requirements:
- Be Proficient in English and have an energetic personality with good communication skills.
- Be Proficient with Internet, Google Search, Email, Word, and Excel.
- Have experience in online searches throughout North America and worldwide.
- Be detail-oriented and organized, efficient and accurate.
- Have a basic purchasing experience, or ability and willingness to learn.
