QA SDET: people with high development skills along with a QA mindset.
They can automate any (functional or non‐functional) kind of tests (as long as it’s feasible and pertinent) across several systems.
They know different program languages and suggest the best suitable tools.
• Analyze the technical feasibility of scripting test cases (defined previously by CGI QA analysts);
• Give the estimation for each script, to ease the auto‐design planning;
• Define whether an existing script needs maintenance (upon new deliveries);
• Analyze failed auto test cases to report whether issues come from the automaton or system;
• Execute auto tests cases;
• Create and maintain automated tests;
• Execute test cases and scenarios;
• Report the defects associated with the execution of test cases;
• Record the test results (defects and test cases);
• Analyze failed test cases before reporting them for the second level of analysis and understand whether the defect is real or not;
• Retest the fixed defects, including regression testing;
• Report any issue or risks SDET Lead and QA Program Lead immediately upon identification.
