Qa/Qc Coordinator

Our client, a Canadian global leader in exploration, mine engineering, and environmental protection has an immediate need for an QA/QC Coordinator. This is a contract position for eleven (11) months in Key Lake Saskatchewan

• Fly In Fly Out Camp accommodations provided
  • Rotation (2 weeks in-2 weeks out, 11 hours a day)
  • Company Charter Flights provided - Departing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Description

The Coordinator in this role will be responsible for monitoring the quality of work performed by construction personnel

Oversee directly or indirectly the activities of various fabricators, vendors and work teams to ensure the constructed asset meets the expected specifications and overall quality requirements

Accountabilities

• Reviews and approves all inspection and test plans provided by contractors
• Responsible for reviewing each construction contractor’s quality management plan at the start of construction
• Monitors the quality control program throughout construction and ensures the inspection and test plan is followed for the work
• Actively manages and coordinates construction deficiencies with the CMT and contractor personnel
• Coordinates construction turnover at the end of the construction phase
• Highly independent style of work in a larger project team

Required

• A strong background in overseeing construction projects and ensuring quality control is vital. This includes a solid understanding of inspection and test plans, quality management plans, and monitoring processes to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
  • Senior Level 10 years of experience as a Journeyperson in E/I or Mechanical trade OR
  • Intermediate Level 4 to 9 years of experience as a Journeyperson in E/I or Mechanical trade
• Working knowledge and general experience with electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems.
• Good understanding of codes and standards applicable to industrial construction.
• Good understanding of quality systems, processes, and best practices.
• High familiarity and comfortable with SharePoint, Microsoft Office 365
