MANUFACTURING COMPANY seeking a full time Quality Assurance Coordinator with 5+ years experience. Full time hours are required (minimum 40-48 hours per week).
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the performance of the QC Department and team.
- Ensuring the reports are completed and files according to procedures.
- Scheduling QC team according to capacity requirements.
- The Quality Manager is responsible for overall procedural development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements.
- Ensure evaluation of, and reporting on, vendor quality systems - must have a strong TECHNICAL background.
- Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the organization’s products.
- Report to top management on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions), including the need for improvement.
- Conduct periodic management review meetings and/ or review meetings with clients.
Responsible for accuracy and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.
- Keep up on standards, regulations/laws, issues, and news with respect to product (service) quality.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
- Interpret welding process specifications
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
