We are seeking a skilled and detail-orientated Quality Control Inspector. In this position you would be required to ensure all quality requirements are completed and documented for various job scopes. You would be required to work independently, as a team and must liaison with clients.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience as a quality inspector in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
- Experience in the use of precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, and gauges)
- Strong attention to detail and committed to delivering high quality product.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to read mechanical and manufacturing drawings.
- Advanced knowledge of inspection process
- Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management system is an asset.
- Certification in Quality Control as asset
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform dimensional inspections of machined components, parts, raw bar stock and plate materials.
- Perform first offs, in process and final release dimensional inspections.
- Complete dimensional inspection for compliance to design and client specifications.
- Use precision measurement tools, gauges, and testing equipment to verify dimensions and features.
- Document and maintain accurate records of NCR and Corrective Actions
- Collaborate with production personnel to address QC concerns, and help implement Corrective Actions
- Assist in the development and maintenance of QC procedures and work instruction.
- Review machining drawings, qualifications and procedures
- Ensure the material is correct, record heat #'s and review MTR’s.
- Attain client sign offs and turnover completed package.
- Inspect /calibrate tools.
- Generate electronic, computer-based forms to report deviations from specifications.
