Quality Assurance Representative

We provide electronic/electrical design, development, testing, molding and assembly services, systems integration and commissioning from large scale integrated to small standalone systems, Intrinsically Safe and customized solutions that meet the needs of our customers in Hazardous and Industrial Environments.

Special Electronics & Designs Inc. is seeking a permanent full-time Quality Assurance Representative to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work within the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
• Assure adherence to established Company Quality Objectives
• Perform Incoming, In-process and Final Inspections
• Work with Production and Engineering Staff to resolve quality concerns
• Identify, record and report quality problems as they occur in a professional manner
• Approve Production Drawings, Inspection & Test Plans, Acceptance Tests, and Procedures
• Recommend Corrective Actions and report on their effectiveness
• Maintain records that relate to the Quality Management System
• Maintain and record calibration of tooling
• Maintain and update the ISO Quality Assurance Program
• Plan and schedule Internal Audits and file Audit Reports
• Provide reports on the status of the Quality Assurance Management System (Management Review) as required
• Work with technical staff to obtain and maintain certifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma/Degree in Quality Control, Business Administration or a related field
• 3-5 years of Quality Assurance experience
• Full colour recognition ability (i.e., no colour blindness).
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Superior attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
• Professional interpersonal, oral and written English communication skills
• Proficient in all applications of Microsoft Office

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
