We are looking for a Quality Control Supervisorto join our largest sawmill, located in High Level, Alberta. Our High Level Lumber Division safely and sustainably produces forest products for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • 1 year of QC experience, within manufacturing.
  • 3 years’ manufacturing experience, preferably in a sawmill.
  • Post-secondary education in forestry, business, engineering, or related fields, an asset.
  • Knowledge of computerizedmaintenance management systems; preferably JD Edwards.
  • 1-2 years experience leading a team.
  • A high degree of commitment to the safety of themselves and their team.
  • Comfortableusing a variety of computer software, including MS Office.
  • Excellent oral and writtencommunication
  • Strong relationship building with the ability to relate with people from all levels of the organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Leverage your lumber manufacturing to monitor the quality standards for all products produced in the sawmill.
  • Maintain records of quality and grade standards and generate, analyze, and report statisticalQuality Control data.
  • Assist with technological trainingfor the production supervisors and employees.
  • Your strong leadership,organizational, planning and communication skills ensure that the team is engaged, meets all safety, recovery, quality, and production targets.
