Job description

Our company:

We began as a horse-logging operation in 1939 and have grown to become an industry-leading mass timber provider with a high-tech sawmill. From seedlings to solutions, we see our products through the entire process -- from forest management to manufacturing, design, prefabrication, and delivery.

As an independent, family-owned, and operated company, we recognize that people are our most valuable resource. As we continue to grow, we’re searching for individuals who enjoy a hands-on approach to work tasks and thrive in a team-based environment.

  • Ensure operational excellence in Quality Control, data management, inventory control and manufacturing.
  • Conduct daily Quality Control audits across operations.
  • Ensure adequate corrective measures are implemented on a timely basis in cases of non-compliance.
  • Observe systems and processes and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Identify and communicate key indicators of performance.
  • Assess and ensure we are maximizing value back to the company by performing regular checks and provide recommendations on improvement opportunities.
  • Other duties as requested or required.

Requirements:

  • Post secondary studies in forestry, wood science, or manufacturing an asset.
  • One (1) year of experience in Quality Control inspections, or equivalent.
  • Broad business acumen.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory agency quality assurance/control activities
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Receptive to change - can adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Proactive and focused on continuous improvement.

Compensation Package:
