Quality Control Technician/ Day Lab

Grain Millers is one of North America's premier Oat Milling companies that supplies customers across Canada, U.S.A and Worldwide. We are looking for a Shipper/Turret Truck Operator for our Canadian division located in Yorkton, Sask. This is a Temporary position for 5 months. This position will be working Monday to Friday, 8hours/Days.

This position is responsible for preparing samples and conducting laboratory tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with GMCCs food and quality standards. You will be responsible to Assist in customer request, Prepare and submit customer samples and verify all paperwork. You will also conduct micros, environmental sampling, and swabbing. Assist in outside-lab sample program including scheduling, data, and sample collection, and entering information and corrective actions if needed. Update the Supplier.

This position is also required to manage and organize control documentation and generate any applicable documents/certificates. QC tech will report to the Lab manager or designate.

Qualifications:

· Minimum Grade 12 diploma. Experience in a food processing/food lab environment and/or post-secondary food science background is recommended.

· Must have the ability to work in an organized fashion with high attention to detail and accuracy.

· Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment.

· Familiar with cereal grains and their products. 3. Must possess a confident knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety principles.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet are required.

· Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.

· Must have good mathematic and analytical skills.
