Job Description: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our Firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. This position is a subcontractor role, starting part-time with the opportunity to progress toward full-time employment. We offer flexible hours and the option to work in the office, remotely, or through a hybrid arrangement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for multiple client accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions for clients.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with payroll processing, GST/HST filing and tax preparation for clients.
Requirements:
- College Diploma in bookkeeping (or nearing completion of program).
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in:
- Office 365 (Word and Excel).
- QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online (QBO ProAdvisor certified is an asset).
