We are seeking an energetic Rail operation and Simulation Analyst Co-op Student to join our Rail & Transit group for their summer term located in our Vancouver, British Columbia office.

Responsibilities:
-Supports rail network simulation by organizing infrastructure design and timetable data provided by stakeholders.
-Develops spreadsheets or software programs to accelerate/automate the review of simulation data.
-Assists in producing reports, presentations, and engineering documentations based on simulation results.
-Participates in a variety of rail network analyses, studies, simulation model development or optimization, and technical report generation addressing a wide range of operating, infrastructure and performance improvement.
-Participates in training on railway engineering components such as trackwork, signaling, rolling stock, timetabling, stabling, etc.
-Participates in discussions on railway designs and timetabling with internal and external stakeholders.
 
Qualifications:
-Currently enrolled in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering at an accredited University.
-Interested in computer programming and the ability to analyze and visualize large dataset are desirable.
-Interested in and motivated to learn railway timetabling and Simulation software.
-Strong organization, interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
-Ability to work under limited supervision.
-Self-motivated and have a strong interest in Rail Operation.
