We are looking for a Ramp Handler/Baggage Handler who will provide direct support to the Shift Supervisor. The successful candidate will be an energetic, positive, professional, and self-motivated individual providing exceptional operational support.

Job Description

• Marshalling aircraft to and from the gate.
• Loading and unloading cargo, baggage, and mail from aircraft.
• Safely operating ground service equipment, such as baggage carts, conveyor belts, and tow tractors.
• Ensuring the accurate and timely transfer of baggage between connecting flights.
• Performing aircraft servicing tasks, including refueling and restocking onboard supplies.
• Inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining ground service equipment.
• Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
• Collaborating with flight crews, ground control, and other airport personnel to coordinate operations effectively.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Able to secure an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit ( AVOP)
• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects and performing strenuous tasks in various weather conditions. Ability to lift 60 lbs independently
• Able to secure Transport Canada RAIC
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Highly motivated and able to work well independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to multi-task and establish priorities in a dynamic and changing environment.
• Must always maintain a professional appearance and mannerisms.
• Able to work collaboratively as a productive member of the Samsic Assistance Team.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in baggage handling and aircraft servicing.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak travel times.
• Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, holidays, and irregular shifts.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a ramp or aviation setting.
• Prior experience in a similar role or within the aviation industry is preferred
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record may be necessary for operating ground service equipment.
• Willingness to undergo security background checks and obtain necessary airport security clearances.
