R&D Chemist – London, ON – $60k-$70k/yr

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates in multidisciplinary team for R&D project definition and pilot plant scale-up
• Conducts literature reviews, formulates hypotheses, and designs experiments using DOE
• Performs and interprets laboratory-scale experiments, summarizing outcomes
• Writes technical reports and participates in scaling up technologies
• Analyzes chemical compounds using ASTM and/or ISO methods
• Develops in-house analytical methods using various techniques
• Applies creative and critical thinking to ensure timely project completion
• Maintains a high awareness of company technology and research milestones

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in research/analytical Chemistry
• M.Sc (or above) in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering
• Direct experience in organic chemistry -- crude, polymers, and renewables preferred
• Some travel to other company sites
