Qualifications:

• A passion for working with children, particularly those with learning challenges
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience
• Proficiency in using online teaching platforms and tech-savvy skills
• A proactive mindset to continually learn and adopt innovative teaching approaches
• Post-secondary education or specialized training
• Exceptional grammar and spelling abilities
• Access to reliable transportation for in-person sessions

Highly Valued Qualifications:

• Orton Gillingham training and/or certification
• Degree (or in-progress degree) in Linguistics, Education, or TESL
• Previous role as a Special Education Assistant
• BC Teacher Certification
• 5+ years of homeschooling experience

• Can commit to 3-4 days a week, between the hours of 3pm and 7pm, for a minimum of 12+ hours weekly

Salary: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
