About the role
Educators develop positive relationships with families and colleagues, develop age-appropriate provocations, create rich environments, engage in learning alongside the children, observe, document and plan play experiences that follow the children’s interest and lead.
Educators will follow S.E.E.D.S. Program Statement. Educators use the How Does Learning Happen document. They will be knowledgeable in the CCEYA Manual and SMDHU guidelines.
Qualifications needed to work at S.E.E.D.S. Childcare
- College diploma or University degree in Early Childhood Education (in good standing with the college of ECE) or equivalent as determined by the Ministry of Education
- A growth mindset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Clear Vulnerable Sector check
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
- Flexibility in working a variety of shifts including split shifts
- Experience in working with children in a childcare setting
