Our expectations:

The primary function of the Receiver/Stocker is to distribute and stock merchandise in proper locations throughout the store. This includes using and caring store equipment while putting stock into top stock, downstocking merchandise, and cleaning hazardous material spills.

Your role:

  • Receive all product deliveries and maintain the flow of freight on store shelves
  • Sort and unpack products that have been delivered
  • Operate Power Equipment to transport product to appropriate areas, and ensure space is available for incoming products
  • Identify products for special orders or installs and design department customers
  • Tag as necessary, place in a designated area and inform appropriate team members
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory received
  • Detail received product as necessary
  • Match delivery manifests to incoming product, observe the condition of incoming products, and complete paperwork with attention to accuracy
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in locating, selecting, demonstrating, and loading merchandise in a friendly and professional manner
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment by securing doors and gates and monitoring for potential theft or security risks
  • Complete all other duties as assigned

The qualifications we are looking for:

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction)
  • Experience operating forklift/power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment
  • Experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking
  • Experience in a retail environment dealing with inventory handling and stocking
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds daily without assistance
  • Ability to work in extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, heights, or while being exposed to constant/intermittent sounds (if applicable)
